The Key to Your Success
If you went into an auto dealership and said: "I'm planning to buy a car, what will you pay me if I agree to let you send me offers and marketing information?'
The answer would be "Nothing! No way!"
But ...
By joining MoneyForMyData, your information can be combined with a large number of other people who plan to buy cars. Now your information has value and automakers will gladly pay.
We will pool, package and market your intention to buy a car (or a house, an appliance or other major purchase) and sell it. Each member/participant will be paid for providing this valuable information.
So, what's the key?
Quite simply, it's numbers.
The more members we recruit, the more valuable will be the information we can sell.
To help make your information more valuable, and to increase the profits you can receive, we encourage each member to tell his friends to join with us. Then ask them to tell their friends.
And, of course, our purchase intentions are but a small part of data being bought and sold on individuals. You should be sharing in the entire amount created from data sales.
With MoneyForMyData, you can be.
FAQs
Q: Why is this different from and better than other websites dealing with privacy?
A:
MoneyForMyData.com is unlike any other “identity” or "privacy protection"
website. The site announces to corporate America
that we demand our
Constitutional rights regarding our privacy, our identity and our
personal data. Through this site and its members, we are announcing that we own our data and we assert our right to share in its value.
Q: Why is the sign-up free?
A: We want to build the value of each member's data through pooling, packaging and marketing it with a "critical mass" of data from other members. It is in everyone's best interest to have as many members as possible. An upfront charge would be a barrier to the growth we seek.
Q: Should my whole family join?
A: You should want all members of your family to assert property rights in their data. Although members must be 18 years or older, we will allow members to sign up even younger children since they, too, are targeted by data brokers. All of your family members receive ads over the Internet and by email, they all have their data in use by companies who do so without asking their permission or compensating them. Everyone who will benefit from data ownership and compensation should join. Due to legal restrictions, this site is not intended for anyone 13 or under and children of this age may not use the Website to enroll. Any profits from data sold for younger members will go to the account of the adult who registered them.Q: Can I decide how my data will be distributed, sold or used?
A:
Yes, you will determine which of your data will be available for marketing. Every answer you give on our marketing surveys will have a selection button authorizing us to pool and sell your information with data from others. If you
select No, then that data will be recorded and stored according to your
Agency Agreement with us but it will NOT be added to the data products
offered by MoneyForMyData.com. Keep in mind that, in such event, you
will not share in the net profit from data sales of that question.
Q: Why is our data valuable?
A. Our data products will compete in the marketplace
alongside other company's products containing your data -- now being gathered and used without your express
permission and for which you receive no portion of the profit. We believe that our data will be much better than others because it is user-defined and user-permissioned. It will be more accurate than any other data on the market, and thus more valuable. Where others collect data from online sources, credit requests, zip-code demographics and other means, we will be the first to collect data directly from the individuals.
Q: By allowing you to sell my data, am I giving up ownership?
A:
Absolutely not! It is your data, not ours. We will sell it only with your permission. We act as your agent.
Q: How will I be paid?
A: As data sales are finalized and payments received, each member will have funds paid into an account similar to a 401(k). You will be allowed to let funds accumulate or withdraw at any time. Each account will be in the member's name, not the company's.
A: Once you have become a member of MoneyForMyData.com, you have asserted your ownership rights and created legal economic expectations from your data's value. Anyone else, whether a company or a person, will be required to honor these rights or face legal consequences.
Q: Why do we need to fill out surveys?
A: We believe we will be able to get data that others have collected about our members through our agent/principal relationship and your legal ownership. However, by supplementing this with our own user-defined data, we create a new more-valuable class of data. There is no better way to do this than membership surveys.
Q: What is the "consumer" part of this story?
A: The economic value of our personal data is primarily based upon our actions as “consumers.” Our consumer data and its value to corporate America gives us (MoneyForMyData members) the leverage to participate in its value and thereby prove we own this data. The result will be a pure C2B model (consumer-to-business), the first such site on the Internet!
Q: What additional benefits are there to membership?
A:
We will be collecting your publicly available data to add to your record. You'll be able to review that data - free. We encourage you to also make corrections to errors you find. Unfortunately, such corrections will not bridge to the original source, nor will it be possible to determine the source where some of your data was first recorded. BUT UNTIL NOW, YOU'VE GENERALLY HAD TO PAY TO GAIN ACCESS TO YOUR PUBLIC RECORDS. NOW (when we locate and download your information)YOU'LL SEE THIS DATA FREE! By your contract authorizing us to be your agent in the marketing of
your consumer profile, you gain legally sustainable property
rights in that data. You also share in the net income from the sale or
lease of data products. MoneyForMyData.com does not own your data but
has marketing rights granted by you. You also have the right to withdraw
your data and de-enroll from membership at MoneyForMyData at any time. You'll also gain access to the privacy tools and info presented by the site to help members better control their financial status.
DATA & SURVEYS
Q: Will my personal information be included in the data products we sell?
A: You control this. Your data is of two types: non-identifiable consumer profile information and personally identifiable information (known as “PII”). All data that you “enable” receives the protection of being owned by you.
Q: Why do I have to fill out a survey every few months?
A: The surveys serve several important purposes. First, these are a convenient way to collect and store your data. This data will become part of your protected data, owned by you. Then, survey results will populate the data products at MoneyForMyData to build the superior, gold-standard marketing data that will be marketed in order to prove your ownership. These data products will compete with data brokers that “borrow” your data to make millions of dollars.
Q: Why do some of the questions seem repetitious?
A: Marketing data includes profiles, likes and dislikes and lifestyle activities. All sorts of information on how we live our lives and what products we buy is very valuable to companies. Our guide in designing survey questions is to match closely the data about us that's already “out there.” You control what questions you answer, remembering that answering all questions truthfully will maximize your data ownership and profit participation. Questions may be repeated from time to time to identify changes – our habits and activities vary through time. Capturing these changes creates longitudinal data and increases its value. The value of data produced over time is used by data brokers whenever possible. For example, a birth record may lead to an advertisement for car insurance (covering your child) 16 years later.
Q: What are the various sources of data in my personal data file?
A: The primary source of the data in your account is you. By answering the survey questions, you populate your data record with recent, accurate data. Remember, the data you enter is the data in which you are establishing property rights. This primary benefit is reduced if you enter (and protect) incorrect data. This could also result in a failure of legal protections if a court were to decide that data in your record is purposefully false. You should also choose "Yes" to allow your data to be used for marketing and advertising purposes. This results in revenue sharing AND in proving your economic expectation, an important element in proving you own your data.
Q: Can I decide how my data will be distributed, sold or used?
A: Unfortunately, we'll all lost the ability to decide how our data is used and sold a long time ago. Your membership will allow you to take back your data ownership and control. How it is used here will be similar to how other advertisers, websites and ad networks use it now, without your permission or compensation. You should answer all survey questions and choose to share your data for marketing use - this is the only way you'll derive ownership and start to share in your data's economic value. You can always choose "NO" don't share and you can always manage your data by correcting and updating it. But remember, opting out with "NO" means you can't prove your own that data in court, and you lose the revenue -- we won't have the revenue either . . . we only make money when YOU make money!.
PROFIT PARTICIPATION
Q: How much will I receive and how does it work?
A: Our responsibility under the agency contract with you is to design the surveys, collect the data, organize it in your secure database record, analyze it and organize it into data marketing products much like those sold by many other "data mining" companies. We will advertise your data, market it and collect the revenue, then share the net profits with you according to the pro rata amount of data you store here. The process will establish your property rights in your data. You will also gain further control if you join Do Not Track Registry. You'll be able to join a new movement to stop tracking, and you'll make money on this service as well. And if you register your cell phone number, we'll use this to challenge and stop cell phone ads being delivered, also generating revenue on this service (see http://www.DoNotTrackUs.com).
Q: What are the possible uses of my data?
A:
Your data will be pooled with similar consumer profile data of
other members and packaged in consumer profile marketing data products
in the same manner this occurs in other data mining companies – except
these products will generate income that is shared with you.
Q: Who are the potential recipients?
A: Purchasers will typically be large consumer goods companies and advertising agencies. When a prospective data client wishes to order data products from MoneyForMyData, the company goes through a vigorous approval process, including a review of its privacy policy. The prospective client must be approved. If an organization is approved, it must sign a contract where it agrees to abide rigorously by the information controls we (and you) have specified. Under this contract, the client promises to follow your specific instructions with regard to this information. If you have marked some of your data DO NOT SHARE, that information was NOT included in our data products and won’t be contained in the products we market and sell, lease or license. If the client company in any way violates its contract, it will immediately be removed from the approved company list and legal action will be taken against them.
ACCESS & SECURITY
Q: What steps are taken to ensure accuracy and security for my data?

LEGAL
Q: How does your legal strategy help me own my data?
Your privacy rights arise in the 4th Amendment to the Constitution, which guarantees you the right to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures. but courts have decided that, while confidential business information is treated as a property right, your confidential personal information is not ! Anyone who wants your information can buy it, keep it and use it except you! And if you go to court to fight this, you'll lose. Corporate America and the government have no reason to give up what's very valuable to them. To change this, here's what we must overcome:
No Expectation of Privacy:
You and I have no choice but to utilize the technologies presented us by banks, Internet service providers (ISPs), etc. Of course bank tellers can see our account when we make a transaction – the courts say we cannot claim privacy because we know that the teller can see our account when we come in to make a deposit!
Your enrollment, storing consumer profile data and engaging us as your agent to market this data will prove an expectation of privacy. The size and dedication of the network of members at Pridatco will be key to the articulation of these societal values.
Assumption of the Risk:
Fourth Amendment rights are limited when a Plaintiff knowingly exposes his data.In today's culture it is not possible to conduct our business while also demanding the privacy expectation would the courts ask that we participate in banking and other financial services while demanding no teller be allowed to see our account number when we make a deposit! When we sign up with an ISP (the only way to use the Internet), we are required to provide data to set up our account, billing, etc. We have then agreed to all the risks of being on the Internet by “giving up” that data, but not if we affirmatively claim our rights. FFOr example, if forced to provide sensitive billing information to the electric company, you can give notice that your data is not to be used for anything other than needed to provide you the service and conduct payment. This site will be making available template letters for this use..
Expectation of Economic Gain & Insufficient Proof of Damages:
If no one is paying you for your personal data, you will not be able to prove any loss or damages in many cases, especially where statutes require proof of loss as a condition of recovery. Pridatco data will be combined with other members data to produce products in competition with other data companies who have been “borrowing” your data and making money from it. You will be making money from the profit sharing and will be able to OWN YOUR DATA and prove it legally.
